My name is Aaron Dabbs, and I am the President of Sales at SunPower by Sun Solar-OC.
Since having my SunPower system installed by Sun Solar in 2012, I immediately saw the financial benefits of the system as well as the professionalism associated to the company that installed it.The experience that I had with solar made me wonder why more homeowners aren’t jumping at the opportunity to take advantage of this great product, so I decided to become a part of the Sun Solar team in 2015.
My previous positions as a technician and sales representative prepared me well to be a solar educator in the solar industry. My mechanical background and understanding of how the system works is a critical resource used to educate those that are interested in learning about solar. My approach is to educate homeowners on the value of going solar, the unique differences in solar equipment and finally the importance of building trust with the contractor installing the system. My sales teams provide a solar education without “high pressure” sales tactics and then we step back and allow customers to make an educated decision on their time.
Over the past 7 years, our sales team has been able to increase sales each year by a minimum of 30%, with some years over 100%, so this is a testament to our educational and transparent approach.
Home improvement happens to be one of my many interests and installing solar has been the most gratifying and beneficial improvement on my home to this point, so I can’t wait to share this with all that are interested.
